An online Pomodoro Timer to boost your productivity

What is The Pomodoro Timer?

The Pomodoro Timer is a customizable timer that works on a desktop or a mobile browser. The aim of this app is to help you focus on any task you are working on. This app is inspired by the Pomodoro Technique.

So what is the Pomodoro Technique !?

The Pomodoro Technique is created by Francesco Cirillo, for a more productive way to focus deeply on the task at hand. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a pomodoro, from the Italian word for 'tomato', after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student. After 5 work sessions and 4 short breaks you have completed a full work cycle and earned yourself a longer break.

How to use the timer?

  1. Set estimate pomodoros (default = 25min)
  2. Select a task to work on
  3. Start timer and focus on the task for the duration
  4. Take a break for 5 minutes when the alarm ring
  5. Take a longer break for 15 minutes when the alarm rings 4 times
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 until you finish all your tasks scheduled

* Work, break and long break sessions can all be modified as required, even during the ongoing cycle. The timer will reflect the change on the following corresponding session.
